Nowadays there are thousands of Article directories on the Internet, but which ones should you be posting too.  A good way to start posting to article directories is by making a list of articles directories according to their Google or Alexia Page rank. I generally prefer Google, So I install a tool called Google toolbar. Once that is installed you I visit any website and can see the Google page rank of that site.

 

 Note down a list of sites with their page ranks, and start submitting to the sites which has the highest page rank and slowly come down to sites up till a page rank of 3.  Any site that has a page rank of 2, you could keep it for the last and if you have time then can submit to the page rank 1 sites too. No site with less than a page rank of 1 is worth submitting too.

 

Check No follow rule

One more very important criteria that you should always check if whether that particular article directly uses a” no follow code “ when it displays your links. To check this, just view the cource code of the page where an article with a link is displayed and check for this code “rel=”nofollow”. If you find this code on the page then it means that that particular article directory uses a no follow rule.

 

This means that by displaying your link on that site, the search engines won’t follow your link, which means that you are not getting any back link benefit by posting it there. You are better off not posting there or keep it for the last if you have time.

 

These two factors are very important for you to filter out article directories which are worth submitting too.
