1) Create a free Gift to offer: Create a free gift to offer your subscribers in return for their email id. In today’s world nobody wants to take action unless they see a certain benefit by doing so. So it is a good idea to create free products that you could give to your subscribers. These could be e-books, reports, software’s, Camtasia videos, reports etc falling within the same niche market. Set it up in such a way that as soon as the customer subscribes then he is either routed to the free download or it is mailed to him. Ebooks and reports can be viral promotion tools for you.
One of the few success factors in viral marketing of your free report is quality. If your readers find your information worth sharing, and you encourage them to do so by giving them the right to give your report away for free, you will be able to have your name, status and links within the report passed around without any effort on your part.
2) Create your website: Create your website with niche content related to the same market you are targeting. Try to remember that your homepage should provide a quick good impression. If somehow a website visitor finds something that he or she doesn’t like and turns them off, they may just forget about signing up.
Make your homepage very, very impressive. You need to have well written articles and descriptions on your site related to the same topic. The more content you have targeting your niche market, the more organic traffic you can generate from the search engines. A good article and content should be able to outline the benefits of your product and services and why they need what you are offering.
Depending on what your site is all about, you need to capture your website visitor’s fancy. Make your site useful and very easy to use. Do not expect everyone to be tech savvy. Invest in having good programming in your site, make your graphics beautiful but don’t overdo it.
Don’t waste your time making the homepage too overly large, megabyte wise. Not all people have dedicated T1 connections, the faster your site gets loaded, the better. Go for a look that borders between simplicity and sophisticated knowledge.
3) Email capture form: Depending on how you plan your website you could have either an Opt in form somewhere on the home page, a popup or a squeeze page:
If you are putting up a simple opt in form on the site, then it is a good idea to put it on all your webpages. You might have seen some sites where the opt in form is on the side bar, so regardless of whichever page the customer is viewing he will always see your opt in form.
Popups can be used if you have other content on the page and can’t put up an opt in form there: You can create a pop up window to appear after your visitor attempts to close the window or leaves your website, asking for your visitor’s name and email address so that you can follow up with him or her in the near future. Squeeze pages are my favorite. It is the best way to Capture email subscribers . Squeeze page is a page exclusively made for capturing visitor id’s. They are like a prelude to your main website, almost like an advertisement – with an eye-catching headline, good content that is relative to your main website along with a sign up form through which the visitors can give you their email address
Every Squeeze Page contains the same parts and is focused on a SINGLE goal – getting the visitor to become a subscriber or buyer. These parts are as follows:
8. An eye catching Headline
9. An opt-in form (or sales prompt).
10. A brief or lengthy introduction.
11. A picture of the list/product owner.
12. The benefits bullet points.
13. The signature of the list owner,
14. A call to action.
Determining which model will work best for you can simply only be done through testing. While many boast a conversion and attribute it to the shortness of their introduction (many will be one short paragraph), otherwise will boast a high conversion rate because they use lengthy, thorough, and compelling copy.
The entire idea here is to tempt your visitor to want to know more about what you have written on your squeeze page, and therefore sign up with their contact details to receive that information. The advantage here is, even if they don’t end up buying something during the first visit, you’ve got their email addresses – so you can remind them again.
4) Drive niche traffic to your website: You might be selling gold on your website, but nobody will buy it if there are no visitors to the website. So now comes the most important part, which is driving traffic to your website. You need to drive niche traffic to your website. There is no point generating any kind of traffic to your website. What you need is to drive focused niche traffic to your website and offer them what they want to make them signup to your list.
Having a satisfied web traffic and visitors allows you to put up a foundation wherein you can build your opt in email list and make it grow from there.
